Secret Server Cloud Solution Supports University’s Efforts Surrounding Cloud-First Mentality
Washington, D.C. – December 14, 2016 – Thycotic, a provider of privileged account management (PAM) solutions for more than 7,500 organizations worldwide, today announced that the University of San Diego selected Secret Server Cloud for their privileged account management (PAM) solution campuswide. Secret Server Cloud gives the university a solution to streamline the IT department’s use and oversight of privileged accounts. The university chose Thycotic as a part of their larger initiative to make IT functions more cloud-based.
“The IT department at the University of San Diego believes in a cloud-first mentality,” said Mike Somerville, Manager of Systems Support and Chief Cloud Evangelist at University of San Diego. “Privileged access of our students’ data is going to be safe in Thycotic’s cloud and that needed to be transparent for our team. USD has been with Thycotic and the Secret Server product for the last seven years. From a business perspective, Secret Server Cloud allowed everyone to log in to the same single point of success that they already trusted for their passwords.”
The University of San Diego tested out the beta version of Secret Server Cloud which gave them the confidence to roll out the live version in November. Secret Server Cloud provides a comprehensive cloud-based privileged account management solution that is engineered for enterprises to discover, manage and protect their privileged accounts.
“The University of San Diego has been an outstanding customer throughout the years and the cloud-first vision they’ve cast for their university is setting a great standard for campuses across the country,” said Steve Kahan, CMO at Thycotic. “Secret Server Cloud gives the university the flexibility and comfort knowing their student and administrative data is secure on the cloud at all times.”
