Washington, D.C.June 20, 2017 –Thycotic, a provider of privileged account management (PAM) and endpoint privilege management solutions for more than 7,500 organizations worldwide, today announced that Equifax Credit Services Russia, Russia’s leading credit bureau, has selected Thycotic to strengthen its data protection tools. Through the integration of Secret Server, the company is now able to centralize, control, and protect privileged account passwords and shield applications and systems from malicious access

Equifax Credit Services, maintains credit histories for more than 60 million citizens. Given its intense focus on data security, the Company consistently implements new measures to keep data secure, and experiences no data leaks for more than 10 years of operation in the Russian market. Equifax constantly improves and updates security tools to meet local legal requirements and international security standards. One of the most important components of the security platform is monitoring and auditing privileged access to contain insider threats and reduce data leaks, which with Thycotic’s Secret Server they are now able to do. Equifax expertly manages the delicate balance between security, convenience and productivity for users and system administrators.

“We didn’t consider manual processing in this case as the level of operational risk was not acceptable for us. We needed a solution fully automated, that guaranteed secure access control, and audits, modified, and logged all privileged accounts: local, domain, account applications and databases, and SSH keys. Moreover, we needed a system that could be physically deployed within our infrastructure, as a cloud-based service didn’t fit our needs,” said Vasily Kolyadin, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Equifax Credit Services. “We’ve been looking for the best solution to mitigate risk and improve our information security. After detailed market review, we chose Thycotic’s product, which allowed us to easily automate, audit, change and log any privileged accounts for all our domain, local accounts and applications.”

“We are pleased that in a highly competitive market, Equifax Credit Services has chosen Thycotic Secret Server to secure and streamline its access management,” said Simon Azzopardi, Thycotic’s Vice President of International, EMEA and APAC. “As financial service companies are a constant target for hackers, it’s critical for these companies to have easy, effective and affordable ways to secure their privileged accounts and applications”.
