Question of the Week: What does PII stand for?
Answer: Personal Identifiable Information
Personal Identifiable Information defined by Wikipedia is, “Information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.” This information is highly targeted by hackers so it is critical to secure your PII and be informed on the practices to secure your data. Especially this holiday season it is important to limit Personal Identifiable Information when activating new accounts and making purchases. Here’s how to limit exposure and other best practices for cyber security on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
