Microsoft Product Support Expires

On January 14, 2020, support for Windows 7, as well as Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will stop

«End of Season» for Windows 7

Microsoft has begun to inform Windows 7 users that security upgrades will stop on January 14, 2020.If you continue to use Windows 7 after January 14, 2020, your computer will continue to work, but it will become more vulnerable to security gaps and viruses.

As Windows 7 still holds a large share of the PC market (about 40%), it is possible to extend support to Professional and Enterprise versions of Volume Licensing licenses for a fee up to 2023.

Upgrade to Windows 10

This decision is part of a broader plan for any company that wants to move its users to Windows 10, offering greater security and data protection.

To avoid security risks and viruses, Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10 as soon as possible.

If you are required to use your Windows 7 PC after January 14, 2020, you must disconnect your PC from the Internet, or any other network, as a significant security gap is created.
